Balance Readers

EPSYS can supply a complete range of individual readers for electronic purses from Xiring. These handheld readers display the remaining e-purse balance, the last amounts paid and their dates as well as purse reload transactions. The readers are compatible with all standards for e-purses throughout the world (Visa Cash, PWI, Geldkarte, Mondex, Moneo, etc...), and constitute a key element to building users confidence in this new payment facility.

EPSYS offers a Xiring mobile solution, dedicated to e-purse payment.

 

 

Reloading

The Xi-Pad is a secure and simple solution to reload an e-purse from home. The Xi-Pad uses an integrated modem directly connected to a telephone line. The user has his electronic purse reloaded by his purse issuer or his bank using encrypted secure communications. The reload transaction uses secure transaction protocols providing user identification and authentication as well as providing a digital signature.

Authentication & Signature

Digital signature is already legally binding in several countries allowing a rapid development of remote transactions. To secure these exchanges through digital signature, XIRING offers a complete range of solutions which support both symmetric and asymmetric architectures (PKI - Public Key Infrastructure). They are based on stand-alone or on-line personal smart card readers, generating authentication or certification numbers, using the intrinsic security of the smart card. These certificates are communicated (via a PC, telephone or GSM) to a secure server for verification.

Network Access

Due to the growth of new methods of working (remote office, home office...) and due to the increased risk of hacking, it is now essential to properly secure access to PCs, desktops, the Intranet and Extranet networks. To meet this requirement, EPSYS offers Xiring solutions based on smart card readers (connected to PCs) for access control.

Payment on the Internet

The explosive growth of Internet users and E-commerce requires transactions to be secured on the Internet. The smart card appears to be the best possible E-commerce solution thanks to the security it offers to both the buyer and the seller.

To secure payments on the Internet, EPSYS offers a complete range of Xiring solutions based on personal smart cards readers. These solutions can use both the wireless communication links (Bluetooth, acoustical communication CBA) as well as the normal links (RS 232, USB) to the PC. The security is guaranteed by the smart card and the smart card reader's cryptographic capabilities.
